Jill Ann Pontius
Jill Ann Pontius, 50, of Rockford died Aug. 19, 2009, at her home. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born June 19, 1959, to William D. and Margaret E. Stripe Pontius. Her father survives in Rockford.
Other survivors are three brothers, Mike (Cindy) Pontius, Fairlawn, Mich., Richard (Claudia) Pontius, Rockford, and Jack (Debra) Pontius, Rockford; and a sister, Laura Chandler, Pensacola, Fla.
She was a lab technician for several years and after moving back to Rockford from Atlanta, Ga., worked at the family business Pontius Hardware in Rockford. She was a member of the former Rockford Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours.
