James French Jr.
James Marion "Jimmy" French Jr., 66, Richland, Ga., died Sept. 4, 2009, at Columbus Hospice, Columbus, Ga.
He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Sumter County, Ga., to James Marion Sr. and Flora Duncan French. He married Janice Duncan, who survives in Richland.
Other survivors are two daughters, Joy French Brown, Columbus, Ga., and Jana French, Richland, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Der, Newnan, Ga.; a sister, Marianne F. (Kenny) Boggs, Celina; two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
He was a member of Richland United Methodist Church.
Graveside funeral services were held Sept. 6, 2009, at Harmony Cemetery, Richland, the Rev. Joey Cannon officiated.
Contributions can be made to Richland United Methodist Church or Columbus Hospice.
Smith Funeral Home, Richland, handled arrangements.
