* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Logan Deitsch, St. Marys, measures the slope in a farm field on Coldwater Creek Road as Kara Uhlenhake, Coldwater, records her findings during the 7th annual Mercer County Soils Judging Contest. Nearly 170 students from Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Parkway and Minster schools participated in the contest. Students judged soils for urban and rural uses and took a written exam as part of the competition.
