Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Katherine Schweizer
Katherine K. "Katie" Schweizer, 90, 907 N. Buckeye St., Celina, died Oct. 21, 2009, at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1919, in West Chester to John S. and Hilda (Buhr) Keehner. On Sept. 30, 1945, she married Elmer E. Schweizer Jr., who died March 12, 1983.
Surviving are sons, Dick (Vicki) Schweizer, Grand Junction, Colo., and Dean (Norma) Schweizer, Celina; daughters, Kay (Craig) Klopfleisch, Celina, Nancy (Bart) Porter, Pickerington, and Peg Lowry, Columbus; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Lee and Melba Keehner, West Chester, and Marge Keehner, London; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Ed Schweizer; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Robert Keehner and John and Zelma Keehner.
She graduated from The Ohio State University with a home economics degree. She taught at New Madison High School until the family moved to Celina. She hosted Katie's Corner on WMER Radio, taught with the Adult Literacy Program in Celina and was on the Mercer County Park Board. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Celina and its Grace Circle, Eastern Star of Celina, University Women's Club and the Celina History Club.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Paul Baglien officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Eastern Star Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
