Roger Selby
Roger G. Selby, 84, 1602 Meadowview Drive, Celina, died at 9 a.m. Oct. 30, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in St. Marys to Oma Sr. and Mary Pearl Gilmore Selby. On April 25, 1953, he married Florence J. Blush, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Steven Selby, Celina; two daughters, Deborah Selby, Gillette, Wyo., and Kathy Selby, LaCrosse, Wis.; two sisters, Carolyn Pummell, Findlay, and Elizabeth Rohler, Dayton; a brother-in-law, Larry (Ruth Ann) Blush, Archbold; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Arn Jones, Convoy.
Deceased are three brothers, Robert, Isaac and Oma (Jr.) Blush.
He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. He was a member of the Celina Booster Club and a 1944 graduate of Celina High School. He also was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Paul Baglien and Doug Meyer officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
