Fort Recovery crash

A 2002 Pontiac rests on its top in a cornfield following a Tuesday morning accident in the 6100 block of Erastus-Durbin Road. The 7:05 a.m. mishap occurred when Amy E. Hart, 18, 2725 Erastus-Durbin Road, Fort Recovery, lost control while traveling northbound and struck a mailbox. Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports indicate she overcorrected sending the vehicle into a yard where it sheared off a utility pole before overturning. Hart, the lone occupant, was taken by ambulance to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater and the heavily damaged car was towed from the scene.
