Otmar L. Overman, 88, 1441 state Route 716, Maria Stein, died at 2:50 a.m. Nov. 6, 2009, at Heritage Manor, Minster.

He was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Maria Stein to Louis and Rosina Rolfes Overman. On June 24, 1967, he married Joan Brower, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Stephen (Cindy) Overman, Maria Stein; a daughter, Nicole Overman, Celina; three brothers, Linus (Alma) Overman, Dayton, Cy (Betty) Overman, Maria Stein, and Louis (Joan) Overman, Maria Stein; two sisters, Dorothy (Norbert) Gerlach, St. Henry, and Marilyn (Bill) Braun, Columbus; a brother-in-law, Ben Hemmelgarn, Minster; a sister-in-law, Alma Overman, Celina; and a granddaughter.

Deceased are three siblings, Viola Dippold, Alvina Hemmelgarn and Richard Overman.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and its Mens Sodality and the Knights of St. John.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
