Bailey Risner, 10, a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church, scans a table full of items to place in her shoe box for a needy child during a workshop on Saturday at the church. Dozens of children and adults helped fill 204 boxes during the church's third annual "Jesus Birthday Party for Missions." The shoe box project - Operation Christmas Child, a division of Samaritan's Purse - is an international ministry that helps distribute items such as crayons, school supplies, candy, soap and dishes to poor children around the world.
