Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Darrell Darnell
Darrell D. Darnell, 79, 02576 Lock Two Road, New Bremen died at 9:08 a.m. Nov. 24, 2009, at the Wapak Manor Nursing Center.
He was born in Lima June 13, 1930, to Raymond and Alice Blank Darnell.
Survivors include his companion Viola Broders of New Bremen; two daughters, Rochelle (Bob Kinahan) Darnell of Arvada, Colo., and Denise Darnell, St. Marys; three sons, Raymond Darnell, Denver, Colo., David (Alma) Simindinger, Sidney, and Don Simindinger, New Bremen; a sister, Mary Alice (Bob) Kling, Vandalia; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Deceased are a sister, Wilma Hobler; a brother, Robert Darnell; and his daughter-in-law, Cinda Simindinger.
In 1991, he retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys, after 43 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was with the 27th Field Artillery Battalion and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, all of St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, where the V.F.W. will conduct full military honors.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
