Thanksgiving reunion
Photo by Shelley Grieshop/The Daily Standard

U.S. Army Sgt. Benjamin Younker embraces his son, Bryson, during a special homecoming reunion at Celina East Elementary School on Tuesday. Bryson's kindergarten class, above, watches as Bryson and 2-year-old Landon hold on tight to their dad who has been away for seven months. Benjamin Younker, a 2000 Celina High School graduate, arrived home Tuesday from a tour in Afghanistan and will return for another four months after spending 15 days with his family. The soldier thought he was surprising Bryson and another son, second-grader Kaine, but teachers and students instead surprised the sergeant with banners and applause.
