* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 13 below zero expected.
* WHERE...In Indiana, Wayne County. In Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, and Shelby Counties.
* WHEN...From 6 AM to noon EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While temperatures are expected to be in the upper single digits (above zero), a northwest wind at 10-15 mph will make temperatures feel as if they are colder than 10 below zero.

Ralph Young

Ralph B. Young, 67, 10417 state Route 364, St. Marys died at 1 a.m. Nov. 27, 2009, at his residence.

He was born July 29, 1942, in Mercer County to Harry Benjamin and Ida Ruth Deitsch Young. On June 30, 1961, he married Sharyn Kaye Hawkey, who survives.

Other survivors are two daughters, Shelly K. Brown (Troy Seehase), St. Marys, and Sandra D. Cook, Wapakoneta; five brothers, Ben (Doris) Young and Dan (Carolyn) all of Mendon, Larry (Connie) Young, Sioux Falls, Iowa, John (Bonnie) Young, Rockford, Tim (Linda) Young, Van Wert; six sisters, Bonnie (Ralph) Bensman, Celina, Jean (Ernie) England, Mendon, Kathy Gibson, Wapakoneta, Sharon (Dan) King, Venedocia, Alberta (Paul) Siegrist, St. Henry, and Roberta (Mike) Sutter, Coldwater; four brothers-in-law, Dan (Dee) Hawkey of Arizona, Ron (Neta) Hawkey, Scott (Dot) Hawkey and David (Ann) Hawkey, all of St. Marys; two sisters-in-law, Diana (Mike) Alge, Michigan and Becky (Earl) Knutzen, St. Marys.

Deceased are a brother and his wife, Steve and Martha Young.

He was cremated and private family burial will be held at a later date.

Contributions can be made to Grand Lake Hospice, St. Marys.
