Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Maryann Howey
Former long-time Celina resident Maryann Gaydosh Howey, 68, of Columbus, died Jan. 5, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born April 12, 1941, to John and Theresa Gaydosh. She married Clair E. Howey in June of 1983, and he survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Elizabeth (Donald) McComas Dennis, Columbus; a son, Michael S. McComas Jr., South Bend, Ind.; siblings, Donald S. (Sherrill) Gaydosh, Jack (Carol) Gaydosh, Patricia (Timothy) Skinner; a sister-in-law, Connie Gaydosh; and a grandson.
Deceased is a brother Lawrence Gaydosh.
She was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School, Richmond, Ind. and attended Indiana University. She was a member of the Columbus Museum of Art, Collage Artist Group and St. Peter Catholic Church, Columbus.
Memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, Worthington. Private burial is at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Columbus.
