* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Rex Johnson
Rex Eugene Johnson, 87, of Mendon, died at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 12, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born July 28, 1922, in Summitville, Ind., to Charles R. and Hazel Dunlap Johnson. On Sept. 28, 1947, he married June M. Shaw, who died June 2, 2009.
Surviving are four sons, Dr. Terrence (Connie) Johnson, Van Wert, Jeffrey (Pat) Johnson, Mendon, Steven (Brenda) Johnson, Ohio City, and Dr. Daclynn (Lori) Johnson, Rupert, Idaho; three daughters, Janelle (John) Sites, Rockford, Lyndel (Bill) Smith, Ohio City, and Kimberly (Ed) Smith, Mendon; four brothers, Preston (Martha) Johnson, Poneto, Ind., Leon (Anna) Johnson, Bluffton, Ind., and Jay and Ross Johnson, both of Geneva, Ind.; four sisters, Lucile Elam, Celina; Gaye Turner, Huntington Beach, Calif., Jean Oxender, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Patty (Bob) Adams, East Lansing, Mich.; 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are three brothers, Wayne, Wendell and Max Johnson; a sister, Ina Mote; and three grandchildren.
He was a teacher in Pleasant Hill, Van Wert, York Township, St. Marys City Schools and Noble Township Elementary, where he also served as principal for many years. He also was a farmer and member of the Mendon United Methodist Church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Don Clinger officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, Mendon.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Friday and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
