Harry Goodwin Sr.
Harry "Lloyd" Goodwin Sr., 76, 926 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died at 11:09 p.m., Jan. 15, 2010, at Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born July 6, 1933, in St. Marys, to Aaron and Dana Apgar Goodwin. He married Maxine Barlage, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Harry "Bub" Goodwin Jr., Celina, and Kim Goodwin and Donna (Paul) Kaler, all of Montezuma; two stepchildren, Liz (Dennis) Block and Aaron (Jennifer) Tuttle, all of St. Marys; two siblings, Albert "Sluggo" (Judy) Goodwin and Judy Taylor, all of St. Marys; two half brothers, Larry Goodwin, Kentucky, and Bob O'Day, Vandalia; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Ruth Mae Goodwin; and siblings, Aaron, Jim, Butch and William Goodwin, Rosemary Osting, Betty Dunlap, Ruth Barudy and Shirley Olgavee.
A retired truck driver, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and former commander of the VFW and American Legion, both of St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, with military honors conducted by the VFW and the American Legion.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
