Reduced to rubble
Photo by Linda Regedanz/The Daily Standard

Rubble lies on a blighted property located at 501 W. Warren St., Celina, as its owner, Ron "Butch" Piper, continues a demolition and property restoration project. Once the debris is removed, the property will be turned over to the city, which will then pay Piper $54,369. City officials imposed a deadline of March 31, with a 30-day extension for bad weather, on Piper. Neighbors have complained for years about the condition of Piper's property and its adverse effects on their property values.
