Marjorie Knudson
Marjorie L. Knudson, 92, of Rockford, and formerly of Celina and Alma, Mich., died at 11:37 a.m. Jan. 31, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Flint, Mich., to Luther E. and Olive DeWitt Haney. In August 1942, she married Keith Knudson, who died June 24, 1983.
Surviving are a son, Max Keith (Glenda) Knudson, Vero Beach, Fla.; a son-in-law, Robert Thompson, Rockford; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Gail Joyce Thompson; four sisters, Gladys and Myrtle Haney, who died in infancy, Hildred Hamilton and Doris Trip.
She was an office manager for State Farm Insurance, Alma, and for Industrial Solvents Inc., St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church.
Services will be held in Alma during Memorial Day weekend at the convenience of the family, the Rev. Allan Brown officiating.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford.
