Joseph Godwin
Joseph M. Godwin, 85, of Picayune, Miss., died Feb. 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born to Clark and Gertrude Godwin. He married Alma "Lee" Godwin, who is deceased.
Surviving are five brothers, Ralph, Bob and Harry Godwin, all of Celina; Jim (Mary) and Dick (Mary) Godwin, all of Mendon; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Clarence Godwin; and a sister, Violet Godwin.
He retired from Lykes Bros. Steamship Co., New Orleans, La., where he was a port engineer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a Master Mason with the Valley of Hattiesburg Orient of Mississippi, a member of the Joppa Shriners, brother of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana and the Marine Club of New Orleans.
Arrangements were handled by Picayune Funeral Home and Crematory, Picayune.
