Gary E. Uhlenhake
Gary E. "Gak" Uhlenhake, 50, Coldwater, died March 8, 2010, at his farm.
He was born Dec. 10, 1959, in Coldwater, to Ernest and Marilyn Meier Uhlenhake. His father is deceased, and his mother survives in Coldwater. On May 5, 1984, he married Barb Alig, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Craig (Diana), Coldwater, and Kyle, Alex and Jay, all at home; a daughter, Kara, at home; two brothers, Rick (Bev) Uhlenhake, and Marvin (Patty) Uhlenhake, all of Coldwater; a sister, Brenda (Brad) Schwieterman, Maria Stein; his father and mother in-law, Richard and Jeanette Alig, Coldwater; and a grandson.
He ran his own dairy farm. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Philothea, where he was a member of the men's holy name society. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1991, Coldwater, the Mercer County Young Farmers, Farm Bureau, and a 4-H advisor.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
