Firefighters from Celina, Rockford and Chattanooga responded to a barn fire at 3081 Carmel Church Road Friday afternoon, between Township Line Road and Now Road west of Celina. The property is owned by Garrett Hellwarth. According to Celina Fire Chief Doug Wolters, a fire started in a commodity barn containing feed. The fire took 31/2 hours to quell. No one was injured and no livestock were harmed. Wolters said the barn incurred moderate damage, but no dollar amount had been determined as of this morning.
