Cleopha Gels
Cleopha M. Gels, 95, St. Henry, died at 7:25 a.m. April 28, 2010, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born March 12, 1915, in Sharpsburg, to Lawrence Green and Ursula Schmitz. On Dec. 28, 1940, she married Raymond (Dick) Gels, who died Aug. 15, 1999.
Surviving are three children, Bill (Diane) Gels, St. Henry, Jean (David) Thobe, Minster, and Peg (Dick) Cacek, Englewood; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers and a sister.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella in St. Henry.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Henry Catholic Church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
