The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ralph Droesch
Ralph S. Droesch, 66, Althoff Road, Versailles, died May 21, 2010, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 18, 1943, in Minster, to Camillus and Dorothy Rosenbeck Droesch. On June 11, 1966, he married Constance Francis Droesch, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Michael (Vicki) Droesch, Pataskala, and Jennifer (Michael) Lippert, Grayslake, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Hoying, Fort Loramie, Delores (John) Springer, Tipp City, and Marlene (Bill) Schrage, Perrysburg; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Carol) Francis, Willowdell, and John (Nada) Francis, Solon; a sister-in-law, Linda (Jim) Davidson, Versailles; and two grandsons.
Deceased is a brother, Leroy Droesch.
He attended St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and was a member of the Versailles Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Union City United Auto Workers. He served in the U.S. Army as a med corpsman at Fort Sam in Houston, Texas. He was a former member of the Piqua Knights of St. John. He graduated from Minster High School in 1961. He retired in 2004 from Work Horse in Union City, Ind.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial is at St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
