Gordon Self of Coldwater makes his way along U.S. 127 on Friday while attempting to walk 83 miles from Dayton to rural Celina during the Memorial Day weekend. Self, 54, ultimately walked 51 miles to mark the end of a two-pack-a-day cigarette habit and encourage others to give up the addiction.
