Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

This photo taken by lake resident Jay Heyne between Harbor Point and Highland Park shows different colored stripes of blue, green and white in Grand Lake. The Ohio EPA says this is likely a blue-green algae bloom, but a different species than normally seen in the lake. Water samples were taken to determine the species and if it produces a toxin.
