Frances Carter
Frances Wickey Carter, 84, Rockford, died at 10:25 a.m. July 1, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Berne, Ind., to Jake and Mary Eicher Wickey. On Dec. 20, 1951, she married Daniel Gingerich, who died in 1979. On Oct. 27, 1982, she married Floyd Carter, who died in 2003.
Surviving are three sons, Andy Gingerich, Stone Creek, David (Brenda) Gingerich and Jake Gingerich, all of Celina; three daughters, Emma (Jake) Eicher, Berne, Ind., Elizabeth (Myron) Schwartz and Mary (Noah) Eicher, all of Celina; several half brothers and sisters; 30 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary Schwartz and Elizabeth Schwartz.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Celina.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. John Parris officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina and 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
