At 806 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Monroe, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mercer County.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Lavern Buening
Lavern B. "Fat" Buening, 80, Coldwater, died July 4, 2010, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born July 22, 1929, in Coldwater, to Aloysius and Leona Huelskamp Buening. On Feb. 19, 1955, he married Agnes Hoying, who died March 1, 2008.
Surviving are three children, Thomas (Patty) Buening, Columbus, Janet (Phil) Heppard, Katy, Texas, and Betty Buening, Sidney; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Youell, Providence Forge, Va.; a sister, Martha (Fred) Kramer, West Lafayette, Ind.; seven sisters-in-law, Betty Lou Buening, St. Henry, Kay Buening, Coldwater, Delores Shepherd, Satellite Beach, Fla., Rita Taylor, Huron, Margaret Francis, Cocoa, Fla., Sr. Mary Madonna Hoying, Cincinnati, and Louis Hoying, Fort Recovery; a brother-in-law, Fr. John Hoying, C.PP.S. Carthagena,; and nine grandchildren.
Also deceased is a son, John Buening, and two brothers, Lester and Gerald Buening.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, all of Coldwater. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater for 40 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. John Hoying, officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
