The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Barbara Wannemacher
Barbara Elizabeth Wannemacher, 74, Troy, died at 6:53 a.m. July 10, 2010, at her home.
She was born Jan. 6, 1936, in Richmond, Ind., to Roy and Ruth Wolke Turner. She married John A. Wannemacher, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, J. Andrew (Melissa) Wannemacher, Troy, and William (Pamela) Wannemacher, Columbus; a daughter, Katherine (Jeffrey) Banker, Columbus; a brother, John (Jody) Turner, Richmond, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Virginia Clevenger, and a brother, Michael Turner.
She received her bachelor of science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and a double masters in history from Wright State University in Dayton. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at Purdue University, Altrusa and Master Gardener. She retired from teaching English after 30 years, with 20 years at Troy High School in Troy.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, the Rev. James Duell officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
