Area volunteer tells of benefits he receives

Bob Lammers of Minster, a 30-year employee of Midmark in Versailles, told St. Marys Rotarians on Wednesday he fully believes God sends people to teach others life lessons. Many of his lessons have come through working with terminally ill people. [More]

Mendon girl died of natural causes
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office has completed its investigation into the death of Zoe Crider, a 10-year-old Mendon girl.
Results of an autopsy performed at the Lucas County Coroner's Office indicated Crider, 106 N. Wayne St., died of natural causes.

Clergy changes set for area Catholic churches
Clergy changes are officially occurring the weekend of July 31 at Catholic churches in the Maria Stein area, Celina and Rockford.
The Rev. Tom Brenberger, currently the senior pastor for the Celina cluster, will fill the position of senior associate for the Marion cluster of Catholic parishes.

Luebke makes Portland debut

Marion Local's Cory Luebke made his debut for the Triple-A Portland Beavers on Thursday night, going six strong innings and collecting his first professional baseball run batted in as the Beavers rallied to beat Colorado Springs 6-3 at PGE Park in Portland.
