The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Danny Smuts
Danny L. Smuts, 73, Geneva, Ind., died at 2:25 a.m. July 28, 2010, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Huntington, Ind., to Virgil J. and Ruth M. Kinch Smuts. On Jan. 23, 1959, he married Connie S. Black, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Randy (Jaretta) Smuts, Geneva, Ind., and David (Chanda) Smuts, Geneva, Ind.; two brothers, Rex Smuts, Houston, Texas, and Robert Smuts, Grand Junction, Colo.; two sisters, Bonnie Baker, Huntington, Ind., and Donna Martin, Huntington, Ind.; five grandchildren, which includes Daniel Smuts, Coldwater; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Doug Smuts and Herb Smuts; and three sisters, Peggy Smuts, Erma Lawson and Doris Benafatti.
He worked for E.P. Graphics as a forklift driver. He was a Cub Scout master of Pack 3069 of Geneva.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva, Ind., the Rev. Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva, Ind.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
