Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Pairs of great blue heron and turkey vultures perch on a pier along West Bank Road in Celina as a family of Mallard ducks swim by. Some area residents believe Grand Lake's waterfowl population has decreased due to the toxins from the blue-green algae. However, wildlife officers say the birds are still present in average numbers.
