Dicky Stetler
  Dicky Dean Stetler, 76, Rockford, died at 7:35 a.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born April 23, 1934, in Rockford to Carl and Edith Caywood Stetler. On Sept. 8, 1964, he married Evelyn Joan Koontz, who survives in Rockford.
Also surviving is a son, Douglas (Martha) Stetler, St. Marys; a daughter, Lisa Linn, Van Wert; two stepsons, Curtis (Cheryl) Snider, Tama, and Steve (Peg) Snider, Celina; a stepdaughter, Pam (Greg) Kabanuk, Van Wert; a brother, Ronnie (Hope) Stetler, Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Marvel Stetler, Rockford; a brother-in-law, Al Heitkamp, Rockford; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a stepson, Richard Snider; a sister, Connie Heitkamp; and a brother, Donald "Butch" Stetler.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Van Wert Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 178, the Rockford American Legion Post 508 and Olive Branch Church of God in Ohio City. He worked at Kennedy Kit in Van Wert for 43 years before retiring.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
