Rebecca Koesters
Rebecca A. Koesters, 63, Celina, died at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5, 2010, at her home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1947, in Lima, to Robert and Kathryn Rinard Porter. On April 19, 1992, she married Paul Koesters, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Scot (Monifa) Reese, Columbus, Fred (Barb) Reese, Decatur, Ind. and Kevin (Lesliy) Koesters, St. Marys; two daughters, Kimberly (Gerald) Ballard, Kettering, and Michele (Shawn) Phillippi, Greenville; a sister, Susan (George) Valiquette, West Milton; a brother, Edward Porter, Huntsville, Ala.; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, James Porter; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Porter.
She was a bus driver for Celina Schools for 31 years and was the owner of Koesters Soft Water Services. She was a 1965 graduate of Delphos Jefferson. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, and was a past board member of the Crippled Children. She was also an emergency and long-term foster parent for several children.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial is at a later date.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the State of the Heart Hospice of Celina, the Immaculate Conception School or the Susan G. Komen for the cure "Team Gram Cracker."
