Margery Gibson
Margery Lee Gibson, 96, Rockford, died at 10:09 a.m. Oct. 14, 2010, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born May 20, 1914, in Spencerville, to Clarence and Maggie States Lee. On Nov. 19, 1949, she married James Frederick Gibson, who died Aug. 16, 1994.
Surviving is a son, Jim (Debi) Gibson, Rockford; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Robert (Rose Mary) Gibson; and four sisters, Dorothy Singer, Berniece Lee, Mary Stoke and Pauline Billheimer.
She was a lab technician at The Fremont Company in Rockford and a beautician. She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 152 and a past Worthy Matron.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
