Fort Recovery High School marching band performs during the Ohio Music Education Association competition Saturday at the Marion Local football field. Bands are judged on music, general effect, visual performance, visual effect and percussion. A superior rating (1) is the top score and qualifies the band for state competition. The Fort Recovery band, under the direction of Megan Beavers, received an overall two rating and placed fifth out of nine bands in Class C, those with 300 or fewer students in their high school.
