Nita Rae Bonifas Thornsberry
Nita Rae Bonifas Thornsberry, 71, Hollybush, Ky., died Sept. 30, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 1, 1939, in Coldwater to Emmit and Doris Pfoff Bonifas. She married William Harris Guyer, who is deceased, and then married Ibert Thornsberry, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Wm. Harris Guyer Jr. and John Brady (Vicki) Guyer; two daughters, Jennifer Paige Thornsberry and Heather Ann (Scotty) Watts; three brothers, Dennis (Janet) Bonifas, Scott Bonifas and Douglas (Diane) Bonifas; five sisters, Lynda (Paul) Macke, Jacquelyn (Garlan) Lemons, Roxanne (Jim) Boise, Teresa (Jacob) Rodriguez and Julie Huber; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Ed Bonifas, and two grandchildren.
She was a registered nurse and was retired from Knott County Health Department.
Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Monday at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Hazard, Ky., the Rev. Michael Chowning officiating. Burial is at Mountain Memory Gardens, Hindman, Ky.
Calling is 6-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
