Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Bertha McCrary
Bertha Lavera McCrary, 86, Celina, died Nov. 22, 2010, at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.
She was born July 4, 1924, in Celina, to Melvin and Rosa Shanks Smart. On July 21, 1944, she married Calvin M. McCrary, who died in 1995.
Surviving is a son, James (Carroll) McCrary, Vacaville, Calif.; two daughters, Christina (Karl) Liske, Celina, and Cheryl (Mark) Cowley, Troy, Mich.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two brothers, Homer and Eugene Smart; three sisters, Gladys Smart, Mildred Newland and Mary Franks; a sister-in-law, Gladys Smart; and a brother-in-law, Lando Franks.
She was a charter member of the O.A.P.S.E., she was an onboard school bus instructor for Mercer County and a judge for the regional and state bus rodeo. She was active in the floral department at the Mercer County Fair board. She received the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation Award in 1994 and the Senior Volunteer award from the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce. She was a bus driver for Cheryl Ann and retired in 2009 from Celina City Schools after 35 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Celina High School.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Dec. 1 at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
