Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Jerome Langenkamp
Jerome F. Langenkamp, 63, Yorkshire, died Nov. 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Piqua, to Werner and Rose Borchers Langenkamp. On Sept. 9, 1967, he married Marianne Anthony, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Travis Langenkamp, Washington, D.C., Tara (Jake) Bowers, Oxford, Toby Langenkamp, St. Clairsville, Tasha Langenkamp, Minster, Trevor Langenkamp, Columbus, and Tanya Langenkamp, Washington, D.C.; seven siblings, Gene (Conni) Langenkamp, Yorkshire, Juanita Brandewie, Egypt, Marlene Bohman, Versailles, Norma (Orville) Bohman, Versailles; Barbara (Harold) Suchland, New Bremen, Janet (Mike) Suchland, New Bremen, Karen (Gary) Meyer, Fort Loramie; three in-laws, Theresa Langenkamp, Sidney, Sandy Warren, Dayton, and Becki Anthony, Findlay; and 11 grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Joseph Langenkamp; a sister, Rosalie Magato; five in-laws, Gene Brandewie, Fred Bohman, Ralph Wendel, Lyle Warren and Bruce Anthony.
He was a full-time hog farmer and member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood. He was a 1965 graduate of Minster High School, a 1969 graduate of Ohio State University in agricultural economics. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. He was a member of the Minster American Legion Post and the Osgood Rescue Squad for five years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas Church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad is at St. Martin Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
