Thomas Kendrick

Thomas J. Kendrick, 67, Rockford, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 19, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

He was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Newport, Ky., to Thomas R. and Sylvia Mae Lafferty Kendrick. On Jan. 5, 1962, he married Betty Lou Gardner, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Thomas Kendrick, Rockford; a daughter, Kimberly (Travis) Auer, St. Marys; two sisters, Patty Carpenter, Fairborn, and Carol (Delmar) Hall, West Alexandria; and two grandsons.

Deceased is a brother, Robert Kendrick.

He retired from the Phillip Industries in Elkhart, Ind., where he worked as a field service engineer and master installer. He was a member of the Monticello United Brethren Church in Monticello.

Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. Andrew Atkins officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
