* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:40 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 13.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

First day of winter

Even though it has felt like winter for several weeks now, today is the official first day of the season. Snow covers Grand Lake and Windy Point on Monday afternoon. Flurries and freezing drizzle is in the forecast for today and Wednesday with highs in the low 30s, according to local weatherman Dennis Howick.
