Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Paul Monroe
Paul E. Monroe, 87, Dayton, died Jan. 3, 2011, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born March 27, 1923, in Celina, to Willard and Mable Ballinger Monroe. On Sept. 6, 1948, he married Marilyn Vander Horst, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Jennifer, Diane, Jeff, Paula, Mark and Clark; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Melvin, Garald, Marvin, Harold and Meridith Monroe.
He attended Celina High School and graduated summa cum laude from Bowling Green State University. He was also in the U.S. Army.
A memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Dayton.
A visitation and gathering will be immediately after the Mass at the church.
Memorials may be left at Wright State University School of Medicine Department of Anatomy in Dayton.
