Merlie Boroff
Merlie Gladyne Boroff, 89, Neptune, died at 5:26 a.m. April 7, 2011 at The Gardens in Celina.
She was born May 4, 1921, in Mercer County, to William O. and Gertrude Vantilburg Fast. On June 1, 1939, she married Willard Wilson Boroff, who died Nov. 25, 1961.
Surviving are her children: Lynn (Phyllis) Boroff, Celina, and Sharon (Terry) Williams, Celina; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers: Ivan, Donald, Harold and Oreal Fast; four sisters: Helen Hott, Florence Braun, Ruby Shaner and Edna Sloan; and one grandchild.
A 1939 graduate of Neptune High School, she was a member of the Neptune Church of God. She retired in 1973 from Mersman Furniture.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in Neptune Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
