James Stidham

Former Mercer County resident James R. "Bo" Stidham, 65, Marion, Ind., died at 11:43 p.m. April 7, 2011, at Marion General Hospital.

He was born Dec. 2, 1945, in Hamilton to Robert L. and Myrtle Gay Stidham, who are deceased.

Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Cramer, Hamilton; a special niece, Melinda (Jim) Bradley, Marion; and several other nieces and nephews.

He had served as a Mercer County sheriff's deputy.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, Van Buren, Ind., with Blake J. Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Van Buren Cemetery.

Calling is 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
