Robert Albright
  Robert E. Albright, 90, of St. Marys, died at 3:10 a.m. April 1, 2011, at the Golden Living Center, St. Marys.
He was born May 28, 1920, in Van Wert County, to Eli and Minnie Upp Albright. On April 7, 1943, he married Clarabelle Heil, who died Jan. 11, 2008.
Surviving are three children, Craig (Dottie) Albright, St. Marys, Deb Tester, Wapakoneta, and Kim (Carl) Fortman, St. Marys; two brothers, Dale Albright, Bluffton, and William Albright, Celina; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son-in-law, Thomas Tester.
He was a graduate of Spencerville High School and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 45 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and participated in the storming of Normandy. He formerly was a member of the Goodyear Fast Pitch Softball Team and played catcher in the fast-pitch world series. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289.
Services are at noon Tuesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Steve Weatherly officiating. Burial with military honors is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
