Blessing of the animals

The Rev. Becky Erb Strang, shown at center, conducts a blessing of the animals ceremony Sunday afternoon at St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. Church members brought a menagerie including 10 dogs, two ducks, three chickens, a cat and a rabbit for the outdoor service. Strang provided refreshments for the animals as well as their owners.
