Dorothy Shelby
Former St. Marys resident Dorothy I. Shelby, 79, died Dec. 8, 2010, at her home in Fort Myers, Fla.
She was born in Hume to George and Charlotte Morris McCune. She married Ned E. Shelby, who is deceased.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Don) Stahler, Wapakoneta, Judy (Ron) Miller, Fort Myers, and Lynn Montero, Miami, Fla.; a son, Ted Shelby, Mendon; a brother, Harold (Jean) McCune., Mendon; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Robert McCune.
She retired from the St. Marys Police Department, where she was the first female dispatcher. She was a volunteer at Barbara Mann Civic Center and Lee Memorial Health Park, Fort Myers.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. Private family burial will follow in Kossuth Cemetery, Kossuth.
