The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Miars
Robert E. Miars, 80, St. Marys, died June 1, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center following a short illness.
He was born in St. Marys on Nov. 13, 1920, to Vernon O. and Emma Rohrbach Miars.
Surviving are his children, Thomas E. (Deborah) Miars, Panama City beach, Fla., Susan A. (Kenneth) Davis and Linda A. (John) Klosterman, all of St. Marys; three sisters, Jessalyn Miller and Frieda (Dan) Hay, all of St. Marys, and Wilda Felton, Casper, Wy.; former wife, Mary Jane Miars, St. Marys; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Steven E. Miars; three brothers, Gail, Orville and Melvin Miars; and a sister, Virginia Burden.
A 1949 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, he was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. He had also retired from United Rubber Workers Local 200, where he was employed in receiving and was an inventory storekeeper/auditor. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion 323 and a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 9289.
There will be no funeral service.
Calling is 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Private family burial will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
