The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

A.J. Waymire
A.J. Waymire, 80, Rossburg, died at 6:37 p.m. June 9, 2011, at his daughter's residence.
He was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Darke County to James and Mildred McKhann Waymire. On Feb. 11, 1950, he married Maxine Shook, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Karen (Eric) Link, Portland, Ind., Katie (Larry) Hummel, Randy (JoAnne Trick) Waymire and Ruth (Bill) Fourman, all of Rossburg, and Nancy (Roger) Songer, Abingdon, Va.; three sisters, Jean Fourman and Retha Bubeck, both of Greenville, and Dorothy (Robert) Bubeck, North Star; a brother, J.C. (Darlene) Waymire, Greenville; a brother-in-law, Raymon Zeller, Versailles; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Phyllis June Zeller; a brother-in-law, Glen Fourman; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He worked for AVCO New Idea, Coldwater, and retired in 1992. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Union City.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Chris Barhorst officiating. Burial is at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
