William Holtzhauer
William G. Holtzhauer, 79, St. Marys, died June 26, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospice in Lexington, Ky.
He was born Aug. 27, 1931, in St. Marys, to Charles and Zeitha Richards Holtzhauer. On Jan. 14, 1961, he married Carol Nolan, who died March 16, 1995.
Surviving are his children, Charles "Chip" (Dianna) Holtzhauer, Lexington, Michelle "Mikki" (Noel) Livanos, St. Johns, Fla., Daniel Holtzhauer, Findlay; a sister-in-law, Nancy Holtzhauer, St. Marys; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, James "Cruiser" Holtzhauer.
A 1949 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration and was an air traffic controller in Alaska, New York, West Virginia, Hawaii and Dayton International Airport.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Autism Awareness Foundation.
