James Raterman
James Raterman, 67, Sidney, died June 29, 2011.
He was born June 1, 1944, in Piqua, to George and Marie Peltier Raterman.
On Oct. 17, 1964, he married Joyce Voisard, who died April 4, 1987. On July 23, 1994, he married Joyce Leffel Meyer, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Shelly (Sam) Gilardi, Mt. Vernon, Missy (Brad) Francis, Russia; three stepsons, Richard (Chris) Meyer and John (Angie) Meyer, all of Botkins, and David Meyer, Kettlersville; two sisters, Janet (Larry) Monnin and Julie (Frank) Gilardi, all of Sidney; eight grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Michael, and a sister, Judy.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney, and a former member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. He was a member of Versailles Eagles and Sidney Moose Lodge.
He retired from Copeland Corporation, Sidney.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Remy Catholic Church, the Revs. Frank Amberger and Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Remy Cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia.
