Diane Koons
Diane Sue Koons, 70, St. Marys, died at 5:40 a.m. July 6, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Sidney, to William and Eldora Hughes Haney. On July 2, 1963, she married Roger R. Koons, who died July 27, 2009.
Surviving are three children, Heidi (Daniel) Lemmerman, St. Marys, Heather (Carl) Moeller, St. Marys, and Tim (Mary) Koons, St. Marys; a twin brother, Don (Marjorie) Haney, Sidney; and eight grandchildren.
She was a 1958 graduate of Sidney High School, Elkhart University. She was a lab technician and later worked at Albert Sporting Goods, St. Marys. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Memorial donations may be directed to Grand Lake Hospice or to the church.
