The oldest children in the 1Heart2Souls Youth Triathlon event swam 200 meters before tackling a 3-mile bike ride and a 1.25-mile run. Age-appropriate distances were chosen for the children ages 5 to 14. Organizers said 162 youths participated in the event on Sunday in Minster, which raised funds to support families who receive a poor prenatal prognosis, suffer from the loss of an infant or learn a newborn has disabilities.
